2 /5 Noreen J: I came in to return a pair of leggings that did not fit me. I usually am a size M but recently after starting new medication, I’ve fluctuated between sizes and have been trying to see which fit me best. I discovered the size L was too big, especially when working out so, of course, I checked the return policy and confirmed that verbatim if something is too big you can return it. Moreover, Athleta offers a 60 day trial period to work out with the clothing and see if you like it or not. I think it’s fairly obvious why someone would not want to work out in leggings too big on them. When I brought my return - the other employee (might have been a manager, another older lady) who wasn’t even servicing me, told me she’ll validate the return but I “can’t just return something because it’s too big”. Uh, the literal policy on Athleta says otherwise. It was embarrassing how loudly this all went down and the lack of customer service that was afforded to me, meanwhile I saw them interacting very positively with the customers ahead of me, who didn’t look much like me. I wonder why. The previous review that gave them a generous 3 stars might give you some insight.
I love Athleta’s leggings - but if you’re in Napa, you’ll get better vibes and energy at Lululemon in downtown - where I’ve never had an issue.
