1 /5 Zachary Hoag: Hands down one of the worst retail experiences I’ve had. Not just in Carmel, but anywhere. Walking into the store, not a single person acknowledged us. No hello, no welcome, nothing. The first time anyone bothered to speak to me was only to enforce a “five item” fitting-room rule before I even asked for help. No offer of assistance, no guidance, just attitude.
I still bought a few things and spent over $500, and checkout was just as disappointing. The woman who rang me up, Stephanie, didn’t ask if I found everything I needed, and didn’t show even the slightest professionalism or…even offer a thank you. It genuinely felt like my purchase was an inconvenience. If I could give zero stars for customer service, I absolutely would.
The only reason I bought anything is because they’re the only local shop that carries James Perse. Otherwise, I would never spend a dime here. Honestly, you’re better off shopping online or anywhere else than dealing with this store.
