Downieville Grocery Store - (Near Downieville, CA)

3 /5 Genesis Nambo: If you like to drink alcohol you would like this store. They have a lot of beer options but the chip options are lacking as well as some of the non alcoholic drinks. They also seems to close early so make sure you don’t go 10 min before the closing time.

2 /5 Meandering Mark: Maybe new ownership not sure but the floor hasnt been swept or mopped in a long time it was disgusting and I think cleaning has gone out the door with the last owner..

5 /5 2Dawgs Mike D: Seriously, the people in this town are AWESOME! Friendliest town in the state. I find any excuse I can to go up there (which isnt hard to do). The staff at this store is especially friendly and helpful. Catch them when they arent busy, and theyll talk to you like youve known each other for years. Actually, every local that Ive encountered up there over the years is like this. Even the kids are friendly and respectful - a rarity in this state, let alone country.

5 /5 David Russell: I came into town more than a week ago to visit my cousin Don Russell, who owns and runs the mountain messenger newspaper. I love this grocery store in Downieville, because they have everything you need. Not a huge store but its also not a huge town, its a small yet beautiful old goldmining town from the 1800s that is not a massive population but an incredibly great population of people. Friendly, friendly, friendly! And I have to say for a mountain town like downeyville this grocery store had some incredibly great craft beer selections, with varieties of craft beers I have dreamed about trying while reading about them in my home state of Michigan. Looking forward to our return trip to Downieville but if youre in this little town check out the grocery store and you will dig it as much as we did, maybe even more.
