Warren Yarter I purchased skis, boots, bindings, and poles for my girlfriend for Christmas. We live in Texas and the girl that helped us initially at Sun & Ski was very nice. We have not used the equipment until our ski trip to Mammoth this week. Yesterday was her first time skiing the boots and skis. Everything seemed to be ok until about half way through the day when her shin on her right leg became too painful to continue. We decided to bring the boots to the Mammoth Sun & Ski to see what could be done to make it better. The initial young man put her foot on the measuring device and said the boots were at least two sizes too big. He contacted his manager John who took us upstairs and explained what my gf was experiencing was “shin slap” from the boots being too big. He went through an entire boot fitting process with us and was EXTREMELY knowledgable and amazing at explaining what was important with a ski boot and why it was important. He found my gf a great pair of boots that fit properly and took care of us above and beyond. I cannot express how grateful we are for John and how excited we are to continue our two more days of skiing. Thank you John!
