Juan Martinez I was visiting San Francisco from Los Angeles on a week-long excursion. I have always had my eyes set on Diors Private Fragrance line, specifically Tobacolor. Naturally, I popped into the Dior flagship store looking to purchase the fragrance. To my dismay, I was told that they did not carry the Private line; only Neiman Marcus did.
I made my way over and was greeted by a lovely lady working the Dior boutique. After outlining my desire for a new fragrance and sharing that I work in banking, the sales consultant agreed that Gris Dior and Tobacolor were my best bets. Naturally, I went for the latter.
This experience epitomizes Neiman Marcuss positioning in the luxury market: they carry the most exclusive, luxurious offerings. I was even told that the only other place carrying Diors Private Collection in California was the Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills.
