This is one of those rare shops where women at any stage of life can find high quality pieces that feel comfortable, effortless, and truly wearable for everyday life. Most items fall in the $30–$75 range, which makes supporting local feel accessible and realistic. I have made a commitment over the past few years to support local businesses instead of big corporations, and I am genuinely grateful we have a shop like this in Ventura, especially as so many retail spaces are disappearing. The vibe is cozy, cottagecore meets laid back beach town energy, perfectly fitting for downtown Ventura. Warm, inviting, and thoughtfully curated without trying too hard. The kind of place where everything works together, which is honestly a little dangerous. Ashley and Melanie are absolute gems. Friendly, helpful, and genuinely invested in helping you find something that feels like you. Never pushy, never salesy. You can tell they care about the shop and the experience, and it shows. They also carry a small mini-me collection, Sin Min products that smell amazing and feel great, plus jewelry, accessories, and small home decor and stationery pieces that make perfect gifts. The horchata lip balm alone is worth stopping in for. Whether you’re shopping in person on Main Street or online, Tiki Girl is a solid go-to when you want something cute, comfortable, and very Ventura. Always support local. Your closet will thank you.

Andy 2025: Not much has changed since 2024. The front door appears to be in worse condition. The prices have increased and can definitely take you out of shopping here. The quality is fine but questionable at times. Do wish the door was fixed as its very slow to open. 2024: Love shopping here. Its very affordable and has good brands. They mostly have things for those that are in the "skinny" side. The door needs to be replaced or fixed because it takes so long to open. Needs to be a clean a bit too

Aleena Marie I love Platos Closet San Jose! I was a little nervous at first but the friendly staff made me feel comfortable right away. The prices are so affordable and I was happy to sell my gently used clothing without any hassle. They have a great selection of unique finds and the fitting rooms are clean and spacious. It really feels like a great secondhand store in the neighborhood. I will definitely be back.
