The Shop - (Near Menlo Park, CA)

3 /5 TL: I have been shopping here for years. The prices are a little higher than most thrift stores but they have some nice items. The last several times I have visited, the volunteers are busy socializing and have not been attentive to customers waiting or paying at the register. Today I was standing there over 4 minutes while the cashier chatted with someone. I was trying to pay and the card reader was not telling me if I paid. Finally the cashier says, oh it went through. Then I said, great because you were so busy talking I was not sure. Then the person she was taking to starts insulting my outfit and my "taste" because shes mad about being called out. I am literally being ignored while Im trying to pay, and this lady is personally trying to insult me. Treasure Paws Thrift down the road also has nice things. They are always kind, too. Guess Ill be shopping there more often. Im sorry my casual outfits are so offensive to some as well. I survived breast cancer and just came off estrogen blockers 3 weeks ago. I cant say I dress up much. I wanted to get a few workout tops now that Im starting to feel better. Guess I should have worn Chanel or something.

1 /5 July July: This place accepts clothing donations but sells them at extremely high prices. Second-hand clothes are priced the same as brand-new items in stores. It’s ridiculous. They never give discounts on defective items. I will never go there or donate again. I’d rather sell them myself or donate to someone who truly needs them.

5 /5 Hanna: Great, small shop that has a lot of nice pieces. I wasnt expecting to find anything, but theres a big selection. The demo shopping was older, but they have perfect business casual and timeless clothes for any age. The pricing is very reasonable; the tops I purchased were $10-$25. They also have designer jewelry in glass cases.

1 /5 Serena Haddad: I will not be coming back here because of the managers attitude. I asked the manager(Tracy Marcelli) if they could do better on a price (the item was damaged), they were extremely disrespectful. She insulted my mother and Is intelligence in the middle of the store very loudly and was very condensending and rude. This is the first review I have ever written. Thats how disgusted I was by the interaction with Tracy.

5 /5 Esha Bhoon: Had a wonderful time browsing through this store. The women who manage the store are sweet and helpful. I found a couple of great books here at steal prices. Would definitely recommend!
