2 /5 Kimberly Rodriguez: I love T.J. Maxx but this location is not it. The customer service is not good at all, and I thought it was a one time occurrence but it continues, so I felt compelled to write something about it. They wanted to overcharge me for a product that did not have the tag, one of the associates made a new tag for the same product but a bigger size, if I hadn’t noticed the would’ve charged me that. The store overall have a lot of great merchandise which is why I continue to come here but the customer service could improve.

I shopped at the TJ Maxx on Inez Road in Temecula on Saturday, November 22nd around 7:30 PM, and what should’ve been a simple checkout turned into one of the most unpleasant retail experiences I’ve ever had. The manager on duty, Maria G., displayed an attitude that was downright hostile, unapproachable, and completely unfit for any leadership role. From the moment I reached the register, her behavior came off as irritated and dismissive, as if helping customers was an inconvenience to her. Her tone was rude, her demeanor was unprofessional, and she made the entire checkout experience miserable. In my opinion, I have never seen someone less suited to work in retail, let alone manage a store that families and children frequent. It honestly felt like she had no interest in assisting customers, creating a welcoming environment, or even maintaining basic courtesy. If this is the level of “leadership” present, it reflects extremely poorly on this location. If TJ Maxx values its customers, they seriously need to reevaluate who they put in charge. Based on my experience, Maria G. should not be representing the brand in any capacity.

I was at the TJ Maxx on Inez Road in Temecula on Saturday, November 22nd around 7:30 PM, and I still can’t believe how badly I was treated by the manager, Maria G. Her behavior was so unnecessarily rude, abrasive, and disrespectful that it completely ruined what should’ve been a simple checkout. From the second she walked up, she had an attitude — no greeting, no courtesy, nothing. She spoke to us in a harsh, dismissive tone, cut us off repeatedly, and acted completely annoyed that we were even there. Instead of helping resolve a very basic issue, she escalated the situation with her attitude and made the entire interaction tense and uncomfortable. It felt like she was going out of her way to be unhelpful. Afterwards, I looked through the reviews on Google — and clearly this isn’t a one-time thing. There are multiple people describing the exact same behavior from her. Even other employees at different TJ Maxx locations have posted reviews saying she treated them poorly when they visited. Some reviews even state that the owner has acknowledged these complaints, yet Maria G. is still allowed to treat customers like this. It’s honestly unbelievable. As a mother shopping with my family, I expect basic respect — not hostility from someone who is supposed to set the example for the store. In my opinion, Maria G. is absolutely not management material and shouldn’t be in a customer-facing role at all. Her behavior reflects terribly on this location and makes me question whether leadership is actually paying attention to the repeated complaints. Customers deserve better. Employees deserve better. This store deserves better than whatever “management” style Maria G. thinks she’s providing.

1 /5 Goldie Gibbon: A disorganized store with items piled on top of one another. Clearance items were disorganized and many were unmarked with clearance prices. A frustrating experience with only two checkers for a long line of people while other store staff preferred to follow people around the store making sure they weren’t shop lifting. You need to get your priorities straight TJ Maxx are you selling or treating everyone who’s not white haired and pushing a shopping cart full of ugly home decor like a criminal?
