5 /5 Kristine Fitts: I am from Alabama where Mardi Gras is widely celebrated (my husband and I are seasonal SRQ’ers). This year I was invited to the Gaieties Ball and needed a roaring twenties outfit. A dear friend of mine from Sarasota recommended I try Canned Ham for a dress. We drove down from the Lakewood Ranch area and upon arrival quickly knew I had hit the jackpot. The young lady working that morning, Marina, was amazing help! I told her exactly what I was looking for and she began pulling dresses for me. They had fabulous pieces to choose from. I ended up with the perfect dress, headpiece, handbag, earrings and a bracelet. We were short on time so we couldn’t “get lost” in the merchandise, but I’m excited to know about Canned Ham Vintage and look forward to going back. The shop is immaculate and chock full of a plethora of categories. There’s clothes of course (men’s too!) tons of jewelry, furnishings, art, decorative accessories, etc! They offer vintage as well as antique pieces all very fairly priced. I highly recommend Canned Ham and can’t wait to go back!
