1 /5 Whitney McVerry: This place looked so cool from the outside, so my mom wanted to check it out. The first red flag probably should’ve been the religious music blasting from a stereo onto the street. No hate toward religion, but there’s a difference between faith and using it as branding to excuse poor behavior.
The woman running the shop was… a lot. She loudly announced that she and her daughter own the store, barked at customers not to touch any of the dolls or decor, and bragged about carrying Free People and Betsey Johnson like it was some luxury flex (this isn’t 2009). She also kept proclaiming she can “guess anyone’s size,” which felt invasive and uncomfortable.
Overall, the experience was awkward, unwelcoming, and bizarre. I genuinely don’t understand how this place is still in business
