When I tried to return items, the manager brushed me off and refused to process the return, citing a supposed ‘smell’ without giving clear evidence. She told me to come back the next day for another manager to handle it. The staff acted unprofessionally, chatting in groups and not providing attentive customer service. This location lacks professionalism and courtesy toward customers. I would not recommend it.”

1 /5 C M: I visited Madrag on Sunday with my mother, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. I found a dress I really liked and was ready to check out, but when we approached the register, there were two employees standing there who didn’t acknowledge us at all for about a minute. We were clearly waiting, yet it felt like our presence — and our purchase — didn’t matter. After a while, one of them finally looked up and said, “We’ll be with you soon,” but we continued standing there for several more minutes before anyone actually helped us. It just felt dismissive and unprofessional. When it was finally our turn, my mom tried to pay with a $100 bill. The employee, who I believe was the manager, said they didn’t have enough change. That would have been completely fine on its own — policies are policies. However, she then went on to lecture my mom about how stores won’t accept $100 bills for purchases under $13. That comment felt unnecessary and condescending. A simple explanation about not having change would have been enough. Customer service makes a big difference in where people choose to shop. I really liked the dress I purchased, but the lack of acknowledgment and the tone we received at checkout left a bad impression. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving the customer experience.

1 /5 Monica Salvat: I was trying to get into the store, but I was eating a cup of ice cream. The guy in the entrance told me in a rude way NO! You and the little girl (my daughter) will make a mess. Finish your ice cream and comeback. The store doesn’t even have a sign in the entrance saying the food and beverage are prohibited inside the store. Very bad customer service.

1 /5 Shanice Johnson: If i could give this store zero stars I would, I’ve walked in this store on numerous occasions never greeted but if someone comes in after me they are greeted, the last time i stood at the register for the over 5 mins it took another woman to come stand behind me for me to get help. I then sat my items down. Today I walk up there is a sign that clearly says $6 NOTHING ELSE! I then proceeded to grab 2 of them and head in still not greeted a then as i shop I’m being looked at from head to toe as if there is a problem. I’m in dire need of a skirt so I decide to be in an out to not even have time to get irritated. Get to the register the 6$ skirts ring up for $12 The tag on one stated 12$ and the other stated 4$ I ask for the manager she then tells me that the tag they put on their clothes are wrong. Then decided to state it’s just $12 as if she was going to pull out her debit card an pay for it. Another day of leaving my items to be treated like this is ridiculous and yes I was the only black person in the store.oh an she stated it’s on select styles well why does ur sign not say that !

1 /5 Natalie Andrade-Neves: Unfortunately I had a bad experience today. I went to the MadRag store a the Loop to exchange a dress, and was told the date had passed. The policy is 14days (which I wasn’t aware of) and it had been 16 days. I had the tags on and receipt. Personally with the management experience I have, I know all stores can make exceptions to make sure a loyal customer leaves happy, however, this was not the case today. I’m very disappointed, because I had no way of getting to the store until today. Also, on the day I bought the dress, I didn’t try it on since I was running short on time, and asked the lady that rang me up if I could return/exchange if I didn’t like it, and she said “of course”, but did not tell me that it had to be within 14 days, no exceptions. One advice to upper management/owner! Let your store managers have more control over doing some exceptions to satisfy customers. The manager that took care of me, said she would lose her job if she made this exchange for me. Really sad!
