I inquired about the price of a jacket that was in the window display and he practically sneered at me, shook his head “no” and said it was over $1000. He didn’t even bother to give me the actual price. Perhaps I’m not old enough and/or not the right demographic for him in other ways, if you know what I mean. He was quite polite to the few other patrons, who he had more in common with.
The funniest part is that we can easily afford it and were actually considering getting it, but I’ll never reward appalling behavior like that from a business. When I told him how I was treated, my husband suggested going back and buying it to make a point, but I refused to do that. Polite and respectful customer service is the bare minimum in retail.
