1 /5 JaLynn Southall: I advise against purchasing anything from this shop online. I frequent this store a lot and it’s always been a favorite of mine as a vintage lover and appreciator. I had been searching for a specific artists vintage shirt as a gift for someone and I had a few picked out but as I’ve shopped with owls attic before I decided to purchase from them. Immediately I felt like I made a mistake and should have purchased from somewhere else. The website listed an assumed size of medium and gave shoulder and length measurements. After I pressed order I realized how risky this decision was as they don’t offer returns even for online products that aren’t even pictured on a mannequin so it was really a shot in the dark. I used their measurements provided and measured against a shirt that the person owned, as far as length and shoulder width it should have fit perfectly but there was no info about waist size of which gender the shirt should be assumed for. So after I purchased I immediately felt anxiety, I tried to cancel the order but there was no option so within the first hour of ordering I sent and email to the store asking for the option to just cancel it since they didn’t offer returns. I got no response so I sent a second email as the shirt still wasn’t showing as being shipped five days later, I figured there was still a chance. Still no response and a week later the shirt shows up, I open the package thinking hopefully it will fit and it won’t be an issue anymore I’ll just give it as a gift. Unfortunately this shirt advertised as a medium fitting shirt would fit me, a woman’s size small. It is incredibly small and definitely would not fit the person I purchased it for, I doubt it would even fit as a size medium, definitely not for a man and questionably tight for a woman. After still getting no response and now receiving a shirt that is not at all what I thought I called the store to try and get an answer that way, I was told the owners were out of town and to call back soon as they handle the online merchandise. I waited a week, called again and was told by the person working they’d pass on the message. It’s been over a month now since I placed this order and have still yet to hear anything. I normally love this shop but this has left a really sour taste in my mouth, with a small business you’d expect them to be a little more willing to speak to their shoppers. Leaving a bad review is honestly my last resort to try and get a response but it’s been so long now I doubt they will take the shirt back even though it has never been used or even tried on. I just wish it had been listed more accurately so it could’ve gone to somehow who could appreciate a great piece better than it sitting unused. Super disappointed at the lack of communication here.
