1 /5 Solo Porter: I shop stores with my own shopping bag; have NEVER had a problem with a store. “UNTIL” coming to this store..
I’ve just relocated to Gainesville and what I experienced in this store was very profound by this Asian descent woman.
One of the two assistants that helped me was very pleasant and helpful. I showed her a picture of what I was need of; which was a particular braiding hair. The product was located in the very back of the store. I told here I would like to look around due to it was such a nice clean store staring from the front. After browsing I began to make my way back to get the braiding hair. The woman who was so helpful was behind the counter in the wigs area. I stopped to asked her about clip on. I explained to her I wanted to use for streaking due to I did not want to use chemicals in my hair. She was very helpful; with taking the time showing and explaining how to use. My hair was up in a bun and I was wearing my curly style. I told her I will need to come back when I’ve straightened my hair for her to help get the right length.
I headed back to get the braiding hair. I called my daughter to ask her how many package I would need. I told her they had a package of six but I only saw 52’ which was too long. I saw empty racks so I assume they were out of the 42’ I got 2 packages of the 42’ that had 3 bundles per pack and put in MY shopping bag. The package of six I kept in my hand so that I could ask if they had in stock in the 42’ .
The woman who had been assisting me was still behind the counter in the wig section. I showed her the hair and began asking if she had in a 42” she said that package hair only come in 52’ .
All of a sudden the other woman came from out of nowhere. As she was being loud saying “that my hair, that my hair” going in MY shopping bag; she got the hair and laid it on the counter and then began saying; you put my hair in your purse. I said no this is my shopping bag I put it in. Then I realize she was accusing me of stealing. I tried to explain to her but she was not trying to hear me. She only kept accusing me of stealing and making a seen as she was walking fast back to the front register. I told her what I had was a shopping bag not a purse as I showed her my backpack on my back that contained my credentials and money.
This idiot continued acting out because she knew she made a mistake and instead of apologizing she continued. The woman who had been assisting me should have spoke up but I guess because she was old she didn’t. She just continued to be nice with saying we little hand held carts I told her no one showed or told me this upon entering.
That woman took the wrong approach and was out of line. I was nowhere near the exit and pose no threat.
There were only a couple of people in this hugh store. Apparently! This is why they have no business. Large stores like this one always have a store full of customers.
I will NEVER go there again. To be accused of stealing a $5 pack of hair is ridiculous. But yet you in this country STEALING. Ridiculous!
You better hope I don’t press charges against you for false accusations, putting your hands into my personal belongings, discrimination, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress and racial discrimination.
