Dollar General - (Near Ocilla, GA)

1 /5 Ryastor: Why go to the trouble of making a table by itself with seven different “50% off Spring Items” signs attached to it, piled high full of obviously Spring items, then when you get to the register, “oh that’s just for certain items”. What does that even mean? Why is it on the table then? I could understand if it was like an issue of a customer misplaced something but there’s piles of the same item on the table that’s saturated with 50% off signs. This happens at every single DG with various sales. They feel like a bait and switch, and by the time you get to the counter you’re just so aggravated with the wait because they only have a single register open for the ten person line that you don’t want to cause a problem and it’s just like, yeah just charge me the full $10 price for that.

1 /5 Angie Pridgen: Updat 1/12/25: It would seem that something has changed since mid/end 2024. Im guessing new management. Currently, the store seems to be better kept and the employees are friendly and helpful. I was in the store yesterday and found everything I needed. The young man at the checkout was very friendly and was concerned about the reading glasses I purchased getting broken. He handed them to me instead of putting them in a bag with my other items. Whatever has changed, it is a huge improvement!!! I highly recommend this Dollar General. Store started out nice, but gone down hill ever since. Never a cashier available, self checkout rarely works and LONG lines. Went in today to get frozen ground beef. An employee appeared to be stocking a the coolers. When I noticed the meat was thawed, she finally said, "Maam, you may not wanna get anything from the cooler. Its broken." No sign or anything!!! I just walked out!

1 /5 Julie Knight: At 10:30, went to this dollar General Store #7739 in ocilla, ga to pick up a few things. I am disappointed that the self check out is no longer in use. The cashier was being entertained by whatever was on her headset and the magazine that she was looking at. She did not speak to me, she continued to look at her magazine and giggle. The only time she spoke to me was when she handed me my receipt and said have a good day. Very disappointed in this store all the time, shelves are never stocked. There is only one lady that really interacts with costumers and steady working and I believe thats she the manager. I think if it had some competition things would change. Hope yall get better employees

5 /5 Brandy anon: I just want to give a huge thank for your continued operation during the covid shut down. I was able to get baby formula while all other stores closed at 8:30. Thank you and your employees for sticking it out during the pandemic.

4 /5 George Burnett: Staff is always curteous and professional. Prices are very good. Store is a little cluttered but, clean. Soooo much better than having to Ho to Wally World. Very convenient.
