1 /5 Courtney Crawford: Unfortunately the young man ringing me up was on his cell phone the entire time of our interaction - not only viewing texts, but also responding to them. He did stop to answer the store phone at one point, and when he hung up he told the girl he was working with that the customer hung up on him. He said the customer asked about something to which the worker’s response was, “that’s not on us”. My intention in writing this is not to get him in trouble, but rather point out that the staff likely needs to be trained in proper customer service. Even as a part time job, those early jobs are a perfect place to start learning about the basics of work ethic and customer service that can make or break a business.
