1 /5 Gabby Hudema: During my most recent visit, one manager handled a situation extremely poorly and unprofessional. My dog, who has been welcomed here many times by other managers, barked once trying to play with my husband. The manager immediately yelled across the store that we “had to get out,” then approached us with a rude and confrontational attitude. She claimed there was a “trained service animal policy.” When I pointed out that several other non-service dogs were currently in the store, she changed her explanation and said there was a “one bark policy” which doesn’t exist.
I completely understand maintaining a pleasant shopping environment, but the way this was handled was unnecessary and unprofessional. A calm conversation would have sufficed. Instead, we were embarrassed and treated unfairly.
