5 /5 Logan Smith: Love me some TJ. Maxx!! Theyre starting to carry some really big-name brands like Kendra Scott, Lele Sadoughi, and Valentino purses w/dust bags for storing when not using. It was marked at $679.00; I took a picture and googled that very purse, and its over $1500.00!! Ive seen my favorite (Tory Burch) purses/wallets on a chain styles. Theyre bringing in more styles and luxury brands (esp on their app). Shoes are always hit or miss. Seasonal home decor is always on point! They have more variety in pet care/toys/beds/collars & leash sets, etc. Some of their bedding, sheets, room decor, and storage are hit or miss.
Is it just me, or has the baby/ infant/toddler/ section gotten a lot smaller as in variety and clothing all togather? Esp for boys. Ive also noticed the lack of clothing options for BOYS sizes 5/6 (xs) - 14/16 (xl) and 18 (xxl). TJ Maxx was my #1 go-to for my boys clothing, especially for RL Polo brand from the time they were newborn 0-3mth and all the way through toddler to boys. Now, I have a grandson, and when he was born, I had a hard time finding infant and/or Toddler sizing; I rarely saw Polo ANYTHING for boys when Polo would be stacked from newborn 0-3 months/ all infant through all toddler sizing. The girls clothing outdoes the baby infant/toddler and childrens sections, leaving 3 racks "maybe" for the boys ( & 2 racks for the infant/toddler section), and that includes the clearance section for boys. There used to be like 5-6 racks for boys, including a full rack of clearance and a whole little thing for boys, socks/underwear/sunglasses/ hats/ sandals/ etc..for boys. A little disappointed in the downsizing of the boys clothing. The girls clothing, stockings, slippers, headbands, etc. ( TOYS/ 5xs more toys) have taken up the majority of where the boys clothing used to be/ or started.
Also, with inflation, I feel like they need to bring back the layaway for ppl who are living paycheck to paycheck / single parents, whoever needs shoes, clothing, bedding, etc.. household items such as dishes, pots/pans. So they may get them, but pay in like 4-5 payments (or a certain time frame depending on how often they get paid. It use to be a certain % of money down at time of filling out layaway sheet, depending on your total. Times are hard now. Gotta have that option back, please!!
They seem to be a little short-staffed the last several mths at our store. Dont get me wrong, I LOVE OUR TJ MAXX here in town, but I find myself going to the Tifton, Ga TJ Maxx (abt 40-45 mins away) BC their store is so much cleaner, nicer, more organized, and more fully staffed. The staff is smiling and so helpful there. Im not sure why there is such a big difference... Either way, Ill always be a lifetime shopper of TJ Maxx.. in stores and love their online app! The App is the bomb! You can find so much more on the App; just have to wait for it through snail mail.
