5 /5 Mitch T.: In late Januay after upgrading all of our Xfinity Wi-Fi equipment, I decided to change my Mobile provider to Xfinity as well. I had planned to do it when I called Xfinity to activate the new cable boxes, but we had some issues with it, and we couldn’t make or receive phone calls. So,I decided to go to the new Xfinity store here, because that’s what they DO, so I grabbed my iPhone, and went to see what the techs there could do.
I walked in the door and was greeted by the employees with a resounding “WELCOME, come on in!" A wonderful young man named Tray, walked up and introduced himself and asked what he could do for me. I explained it all to him, and told him about my iPhone issues, and that i also wanted to switch my Mobile provider and my sister’s to Xfinity.
I told him that my husband and I had been with Comcast since April of 1991 when we relocated to GA, and needed Cable, and eventually added Wi-Fi, then landline, so it seemed like right place for Mobile too. He’d never met another customer who had been with them for 35 years.
We chatted while he worked on my phone, and he didn’t stop until my iPhone was functioning again.
Then Tray got my iPhone plan and my sister’s, switched over to my Xfinity account. I told him that I’d bring my sisters phone in the next day to get hers working again too.
The next day, I took my sister’s iPhone in and, was greeted with another warm welcome from all of the techs! Tray was helping another customer, so an amazing young man, named Elias, stepped in and began to get her phone working again.
While Elias was working on my sister’s phone, Tray came over to ask which phones we’d chosen, so I gave him that info. As Elias was finishing up on the old iPhone, another tech, named DeMarco, got our new phones. Tray had told me that we had to wait for a few days until I received a text that the new phones could be connected, which was fine, they’d fixed our old phones so it’s was all good.
Two days later, I received the text. I had also bagged up the old Modem, DVR, 6 or 7 cable boxes, the cords, and a bunch of old remotes to return to Xfinity. Then I headed off to the Xfinity store once again, with our old iPhones and our brand new ones too. And again, there was a chorus of voices to welcome me.
Tray, was helping a customer, so Elias began getting the old phones ported over to he new ones, Tray joined us when he was finished with the other customer, and DeMarco came over to lend a hand as well. I was amazed to see how well this group of talented young men and women worked together. And before long, I was on my way back home, with new iPhones, and a new mobile provider.
It’s things like THIS, that have made us LOYAL Xfinity customers for 35 years! And switching our mobile phones to Xfinity, cut our cell phone bills in HALF, and that’s with 2 new phones.
Switch to Xfinity! You’ll thank me later!
