T P You cant go on a trip without visiting antique and thrift stores! Peace of the Past North is smack dab in the middle of Main St in Galena. If you park and walk up and down Main St you wont miss it! Upon first glance it looks like a smaller store but theres a whole back section that you cant see from the front. Lots of neat finds with some pretty reasonable prices. There are a lot of book sections throughout the back half of the store. We found a couple of books that, once we got back home, found out were at least 50% CHEAPER at the antique store than if we had bought them online. Thats a pretty good deal!

Ariel Lisha Found this place looking for a doxie pillow that was sold out at big name-brand stores. This shop was less expensive even with shipping! Plus, I feel better knowing I am supporting a small business. The pillow is great wool-like quality, and its bigger than my real doxies! Shipping was quick; I got a tracking number shortly after purchase, so I knew exactly when it would get in. I cant speak for in person, but the online experience was superb.
