5 /5 Caitriona Tobin: Kate and Outskirts Vintage is the best! When we were looking for someone to get our a flower girl dress hemmed for our toddler (who couldnt stand independently at the time), a local Facebook group recommended Kate and her lovely store. 10/10. Not only did she do an amazing job on the dress (which had some lace that needed to be taken in as well as a tulle bottom), but she was so sweet. She popped our girl right up on the counter, was so warm that we had no resisting, and just overall so patient. She chatted with both us and our little girl and it was such a fun experience for something we were a bit nervous for. At some point she described herself as the seamstress version of a bartender...likes to get to know her customers! After that, she also did an INCREDIBLE job sewing me four dresses in fun fabrics. She even talked me through which fabrics would be the best ones to get. AND added pockets. Her store has so many beautiful and fun vintage pieces. If you love having a bit of flair and color in your wardrobe, I absolutely recommend heading over and taking a look!

5 /5 Hannah Bureau: Awesome vintage shop with repair and alterations. Kate repaired my Grandmother’s dress from the 1950s so beautifully. I am so touched. The dress needed new buttons and clasps. Jeanie located some similar size and fabric buttons since I didn’t have a replacement. If you have a vintage piece and are wondering how to go about fixing or altering it, come here.

5 /5 Syd Genco: I can’t possibly rave enough about how great this place is! They curate interesting vintage from all eras, even up to the 90s (which pains me to believe 90s are now “vintage”…but it is!) The staff is knowledgeable but laid-back, letting you browse and explore their selection without being pushy. The window displays change regularly to show-off new pieces, and I love seeing new stuff when I drive by. They are inclusive, encouraging folks of all gender identities to try out their fashions. They also do on-site tailoring and alterations, and are very reasonably priced for this service! Whether it’s a piece you purchased in-store that needs a few alterations, or bringing in a piece of modern or vintage clothing you want tailored, they do a great job! Between all the awesome clothes, jewelry, shoes, purses and more…I can stay exploring for hours! So happy this shop is in our neighborhood!
