5 /5 Steven Druien: Great store, decent prices. Got a nice vintage kitchen hutch that wasnt made out of pressboard. Will definitely go back.
5 /5 Renee Buhl: Well organized, very neat lovely donated items. The staff member working the front desk ( her name was Rachel) was outstandingly pleasant to every customer. Very welcoming and I noticed she thanked every customer as well. I will look forward to visiting again.
5 /5 Susan Schmitz: This place is wonderful. The store is clean and organized and the prices are very good. They also have weekly specials. The staff is very kind and fun! They play music and sometimes you might be lucky enough to hear them singing. ;) Definitely worth checking out.
1 /5 Biff Moyer: Avoid this thrift shop - they unethically abuse volunteers and charity, and dont pay their workers fair wages. An arm of Forest City Church, it used to be cool and helped w. hurricane Katrina needs, but has lost the way of Christ in their current toxic "prosperity doctrine" ways. Their leadership is driven by greed; tragically a failed christian witness was revealed to me and others. They lack compassion and kindness and are no longer cool.
Bryan White The love of my life thought the girls there were so sweet. They made conversation that was genuine. It was passed closing time yet they didnt rush her or act inconvenienced in any way. I know that I know that I know she will be shopping there again soon.
Mary Biancalana A super great Boutique right in the heart of downtown Ottawa on LaSalle Street. I would say that A Mess of Things Boutique is not a mess at all. Rather it is a wonderful organized collection of handmade and vintage items that are genuine and unique. The entire store is welcoming and has an air of inclusion for all people. They have lots of handmade jewelry and gemstone items, vintage clothing from the 50s and 60s! Lots of vintage kitchenware items including some great collections of Tupperware and CorningWare that we all remember from our childhood. I love the unique and inviting Decor; there is a couch to sit and chat and just take it all in! I give this wonderful Boutique five stars!
Mia Pappas Such an awesome place to check out!! The woman who greeted me was friendly and full of information. I told her I came from out of town and she showed me where everything was. They have super cute clothes, and tons of items to check out. I loved the atmosphere & I would love to go back to get some more stuff again. I love the idea of zero waste stores, and this was the first one I’ve been to :)
The pictures included are just of the top level with the clothes. The bottom level is adorable and filled with all kinds of useful household & personal care items, etc.! :)
Teri Marsh Nice, well-organized store supporting a great cause. Great prices, I spent $7 for a necklace, a pair of earrings, and an insulator cap. A few blocks off Main Street, well worth a stop for thrifters.
