Shoe Sensation - Taylorville

EducatedMother83 We had a good time looking for back to school shoes. They had enough options that everyone found what they liked and it wasnt too overwhelming. Not real busy when we were there, which was nice for health reasons.

Buckle - Joliet

Rating: 4.3 /5
Christina Estrada Just left Buckle with my son and he ended up finding everything he needed there despite looking in several stores. Julian helped him find some jeans and was especially awesome, explaining differences between a few pairs and really helping make that final selection. Bailey was also very helpful, coming to lend an additional hand. Best customer service I have seen in a long while from start to finish. My son just added this store to his regulars.

Galena Spoon Co - Galena

Lucy Murn If I could give this experience 10 stars out of 5, I would! My husband and I recently took a spoon-making class with Paul, and it exceeded every expectation we had. We came in with absolutely zero experience and left not only with beautiful handmade spoons we’re genuinely proud of, but also with the confidence and excitement to keep going with this new hobby at home. Paul is a phenomenal instructor—deeply knowledgeable, patient, and truly invested in our experience. He took the time to answer every question we had, and shared everything with us, from what types of wood are best for carving, to how to care for our spoons, to what tools are worth investing in as we continue on our own. It was clear he wanted us to succeed well beyond just this class. I had booked this as a gift for my husband, who’s both a passionate cook and a lover of handmade artistry, and he loved every minute of it. We learned so much, laughed a lot, and felt completely at ease the whole time. By the end of the session, Paul didn’t just feel like an instructor—he felt like a friend. Truly a remarkable and memorable experience. If you’re even remotely curious about spoon carving, take the class. You won’t regret it.
