2 /5 Scott Saladino: Seems to be a great store with high quality merchandise. My wife has passed through previously and bought me a very nice leather 2-finger cigar case that is very high quality and I use often. We strive to support local businesses as often as is practical.
Wanted to share a slightly clumsy customer service experience I had. I received a very nice short sleeve shirt as a recent Father’s Day gift, but was not the right size for me. I presented the item for exchange, and was asked to produce the receipt, as is policy for return/exchange. No issues there, I called the person that gifted the shirt and had them send me a picture of the receipt. While I was waiting, the store employee informed me that while they no longer had the exact same shirt, there were other options available. I looked at those shirts and continued to look elsewhere in the store, intending to leave the store with *something* as replacement. I displayed a picture of the receipt to the employee and continued to look around the store, leaving my phone at the counter. The employee then told me the purchase had been refunded back to the card used and provided a receipt, as opposed to allowing me time to continue browsing to find a different shirt or something else. Ok, kind of awkward to process the return instead of making even a marginal attempt to keep my money in the building. At that point I just felt like leaving, so I did. An egregious error? Not by a long shot. Just kind of a weird encounter overall, and a less than ideal first impression as I’d never been in the store before. There aren’t a lot of local men’s stores period, much less on this side of the lake. Not sure I’ll be back.
