5 /5 Garner Calhoun: Another shopping trip with a friend for just the right item. This time it was a Western-style hat to wear to "Boots on the Ground" night of her fastly-approaching family reunion. Three days and counting down! We had been to two stores already (actually, three because we went to a saddle store by mistake because we saw a horse on the sign outside...A reasonable error!)
It was hot. We were tired. And then we went to J&H Boots and Jeans on Cypress. They have everything you can imagine in Western fashion...from the urban to the traditional. An array of colors and myriad choices of solids and patterns. As I sat comfortably in the boot section, the sales associate did a great job of helping my friend find her hat. Recognizing my friend was quite petite and the adult hats kind of engulfed her, the sales associate recommended she try the youth hats
