We were greeted immediately, had several sales people check on how we were doing and overall treated so kindly! It was the quintessential customer service experience and we will return to this location again. Clearly the management nurtures an amazing environment for both customers and employees.

justin Legendary vintage shop and worthy of the reputation. First off, extremely friendly and welcoming people who obviously care deeply about the vintage items they carry and also the people who walk through their doors. This is just a small example, but I watched them interact with an older gentleman from the neighborhood who they were on a first name basis with, talked about his family and kids and made sure he was doing alright, let them know they were there for him. Sounds simple right? How often do you see these kind of interactions at any business anymore, let alone a vintage shop? I love that this place is an active part of the community they exist within, a safe place for people to visit and feel welcomed, you know, to actually be treated like human beings and not evaluated solely on how much money they’re about to spend. I just wanted to point out that if nobody else notices stuff like this, it made a strong impression on me, and i was so happy to find an amazing coat that fit my fiancée perfectly so i could support what they’re doing. Now back to the shop itself - amazing curation of clothing and decorative items, great prices, stuff for all budgets. Jan gave us some great recommendations for other places to check out too. Outstanding place, a must visit for sure.

Shahida Alvarado Southland Center is a solid, well-rounded mall that offers a surprising amount of variety, especially compared to many malls that have declined over the years. It feels active, practical, and genuinely useful for everyday shopping as well as casual browsing. One of the first things I appreciate is the entrance design. The mall has water features near the entrances, which immediately give it a calmer, more welcoming feel. It’s a small detail, but it makes a difference — especially in colder Michigan months when indoor spaces can feel rushed or purely functional. The restrooms are conveniently located near the entrances, which is practical for families, older visitors, or anyone stopping in briefly. There’s a wide variety of stores — clothing, shoes, beauty, accessories, electronics, and gift-style shops — so different age groups and budgets are covered. It’s also noticeable that many of the shops are actively staffed and open, which gives the mall a lived-in, functioning feel rather than an abandoned one. Parking is straightforward, entrances are easy to find, and the overall environment feels clean and maintained. For a regional mall, Southland Center does a good job of staying relevant and usable.

Ellie S I love this shop!! They have a wide range of great clothes, and the staff are so nice and helpful. I’ve never noticed issues with cleanliness or flaws in the clothing - it basically feels like I’m browsing brand-new clothes. Plus they have great sales and even the normal pricing seems fair, given the quality of the items. I went in today to try to find a dress to wear to a wedding, and came out with three great options for less than I would have paid for any one of them at a different store! Whatever clothing you’re looking for, go check this place out :)
