5 /5 SWP DP: Ache African Variety Store was a true blessing and fun experience, that made me proud to support a black owned business in our community. Everyone at the store from Ache the owner to the tailors made the custom dress experience outstanding! The owner helped my husband and get geared up for a three day African wedding! I needed my dress to be made and my husband needed a senator shirt designed and tailored, not to mention we needed it in less than a week. Ache helped us pick out our Fabrics, got us measured by the three tailors that he has on site at the shop, and he took his time to walk us through the process, designs, and overall experience! I felt comfortable knowing that from start to finish, I was in good hands not only did he come through with a gorgeous dress and amazing senator shirt he did so earlier than the time we agreed to for, to try it on he was able to execute, measuring designing, and custom tailoring both items for us two days. My husband was supposed to have a fitting and not only to his surprise. Did he have a fitting the dress was completed along with his shirt several days earlier than what the owner it to us. The owner took the time to explain so that we understood what was being made, and also the traditional custom so that the pieces had fashion but also were traditional for a Ghanaian wedding. There were so many lovely fabrics to choose from He gave us his iPad so we can choose designs that suited our liking and his team got to measuring us afterwards. I like to support places that truly care about their work and craftsmanship if you were looking for excellent customer service, reliability, fashion, and dresses that actually have hidden pockets this is your place. My gown looked amazing I felt, felt comfortable and he took a lot of pressure off of a tight turnaround. I will be coming back and if you are looking for custom, this is the place to go. Thank you Ache for such high-quality work and investing in our Queens community. You will be around for a very long time because you are truly highly talented; I will be a repeat customer!

5 /5 Kerri Smith: I took some items to Ache for alterations and absolutely enjoyed my experience. The tailor is excellent and the owner is friendly and kind. They have a nice variety of Ankara items along with many unique pieces. Visit them for your unique and authentic pieces.
