5 /5 Mary Andrawes: Going to this Altar’d State was a pure example of perfect customer service. I’m not from CT, I’m visiting from out of state, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, I immediately noticed how kind and helpful everyone was. I was greeted at the door, when I went to grab a dress, a worker came and moved all the other hangers to make sure I had room to look for my size. (The rack was packed with stuff) then, I wanted a dress that was hanging high up, the girl dropped everything she was doing and got me the size I wanted, then she took me to the fitting room where the women who worked in the fitting room was so kind and helpful. Everyone working there made sure you had everything you needed, and they were willing to drop everything to help you. I’m from NJ where the closest Altar’d State is American Dream, which is the complete opposite, as some of you may know. Definitely such a nice vibe and experience, loved the staff! Also, it was so refreshing and nice to walk into a store playing Christian Music, it was so comforting. They definitely made a good decision with that.

1 /5 Grazelle Sotto: Disappointing experience at this Altar’d State store today 8/20/25 around 1:30 pm. I bought earrings and asked them politely to wrap it in tissue paper. The staff seemed annoyed, which was weird because I have been to other Altar’d State stores where they normally usually wrap jewelry. As a regular customer, I expect better service. This store felt unfriendly. Hopefully, theyll improve their service.

5 /5 Elizabeth Stuart: I’ve loved Alter’d State ever since they opened at the Westchester Mall, but what truly makes this location exceptional is the incredible staff—especially Maddy, Elsy, and Kayden. From the moment I walk in, they go out of their way to make me feel welcomed and genuinely valued. They remember my style, my sizing, and always take the extra time to pull pieces they know I’ll love, offer honest styling advice, and make sure I leave feeling confident in my purchases. Their attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond truly sets them apart. It honestly feels like having personal shoppers who truly care, without the expensive price tag. I always tell my friends and family to shop with Maddy, Elsy, and Kayden. I can’t recommend this store enough!

This was the fastest shopping experience of my life, she picked out the most beautiful dresses to choose from which fit my taste! Definitely recommend coming here for your next shopping trip!

1 /5 Fridali: Unfair and Discriminatory Accusation by Andrea (when asked this was the name given to us) I recently had a deeply troubling experience here involving an employee named Andrea. While browsing, Andrea accused me and my family, mind you the only Hispanics in the store, of stealing a pair of earrings. Despite the presence of other customers, none of them were questioned or accused, making us feel unfairly singled out. Andrea’s approach was discriminatory and humiliating. Despite our immediate and firm denial, she continued to question whether we were “sure”. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and has left us feeling unjustly targeted and deeply hurt. I urge others to be aware of this kind of treatment and hope the store takes action to ensure all customers are treated fairly and with respect.
