Alterations by Paula - (Near Elmira, NY)

1 /5 Lorie McDermott: My niece had alterations done to her bridesmaid dress by “Alterations by Paula” in Elmira, NY for my daughter’s wedding that is coming up in October. I have NEVER seen such a terrible job done on an alteration! I would be embarrassed to return a dress to a customer looking like this ! And, I DEFINITELY would not charge $75 for this crappy job! If you can’t do the job, just say so! When my niece took the dress back and pointed out the poor quality of workmanship, she was given a partial refund of $25. That is it- only $25!! A FULL REDUND should have been given for such a bad job. If I could have given negative stars, I would have. I just spent approximately 5 hours taking out the work “Paula” did and redoing it myself. I would NOT RECOMMEND using Alterations by Paula to have any work done.

1 /5 Nathan Washburn: My now wife had her dress altered only for it to start falling apart on the wedding day. The biases literally snapped and fell off from her just walking. The dress also started to tear at the seam that was present from the alterations during the first dance. We now will have to spend more money for the dress to be repaired before we can preserve it.

1 /5 Sam White: I had a bridesmaid dress altered and the chest sewn a little so it wasn’t as deep of an opening and it was held together by like one string in 2 spots. The top one popped before I even got the dress all the way on. The bride had alterations done here as well and the biases was not done very well. It was pretty much one string of a loop and they all broke after the first dance the bride danced to

5 /5 Kari Rawleigh: Paula is very professional and responsive. She did an absolutely amazing job with my wedding dress alterations and with a extremely fast turn around time. I highly recommend Paula and have atleast 3 friends and family that will be calling her!!!! Thank you for being my hero Paula!!! Very reasonable price for 8 inches taken off 5+ layers and an inch in the shoulders
