5 /5 Avery Maltman: By Land and Sea is my favorite place for all types of goodies in Nyack. Whenever I need a gift for someone I love, it’s the first place I stop (and usually the only place I need to go lol). The staff and owner, Lindsay, are so friendly and personable. I recently got married and wanted to incorporate some “Nyack things” into our wedding weekend. I collaborated with Lindsay to create smaller versions of her signature candle to include in our wedding “welcome bags.” We received ENDLESS compliments about the candles and the whole collab process was seamless. She even included 2 free candles for my husband and I to enjoy. I can’t rave about this place enough!

Great selection and a lot of beautiful hand made items from different parts of the world. I love their focus on giving back and being eco conscious. Staff was super helpful and friendly. I look forward to going back again.

My children buy me gift certificates for Maria’s because they know it’s a sure way to get me exactly what I love. I honestly have a few blouses that are over 20 years old, still wear and love them.
