Gina Marcus This store is sooo cute. A true gem in Greenpoint. The two ladies who run the store, Lior and Laurella, are so welcoming and fun—offering a curated collection of clothes & more. Laurella is an in-house stylist that will spend individualized time with you as you try stuff on, find items that pair well together, and makes sure you’re leaving truly happy. She helped me pick out a vintage black sparkly sheer bodysuit and a cool take on a black, textured Italian coat with leather lining—both of which I’m so excited to add to my personal collection! Lior is also a designer with stunning ombré silk sets in gorgeous vibrant colors that will sure to be the topic of conversation when you enter the room donning it. Kaira Tiegen This is truly a very special place. The thrift store is abundant in housewares, clothing, books, shoes, home decor, antiques, vintage, jewelry, and so much more. With out hesitation, my favorite place in the world to shop. People’s Place has become so much more to me than a really incredible thrift store. Every single person that works or volunteers I hold in the highest regard. You instantly feel the genuine kindness when you enter the doors. It feels like you’re shopping with your best friends. Often, while waiting in line to check out, I’ve noticed the kindness has become contagious. There is chatting and laughter among strangers. Yes the finds are always fantastic, but I can’t even begin to explain how uplifting and happy it makes me feel just to be in the presence of the true goodness all around because of the people who make this place so special. If you live locally and you have never been don’t walk, run and then tell every one of your friends.

Chelsea H My fiance and I came in not knowing anything about Indian clothing and we had to purchase multiple outfits for an Indian wedding. They were so lovely and walked us through the traditional garments and how to wear them. They really took their time to help us feel comfortable and explained everything and were so patient! They freely let us try on the garments and helped us through the entire process Prices were extremely reasonable too! My fiance got a kurta for $55 and a nice jacket for $200. I got multiple silk sarees ranging from $100-200 We had gone to two other Indian clothing stores in Kips Bay but both shopkeepers there were extremely rude

Pendleton blankets, Hooker, Norwalk, Lexington, and Bernhardt all available. Rugs and floor coverings too. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Never disappointed in numerous visits.
