Handy Ups & Downs Thrift Store - (Near Johnstown, NY)

1 /5 Nicolette B: Cool stuff if you’re willing to pay more than it costs. Half the items have the original price tag and are MARKED UP. How this place calls itself a thrift store is insane to me.

5 /5 David Sprenkle: Prices were very fair. Found a bunch of yarn for my daughter. The ladies were over run with donations when we were there.

5 /5 Ben Vroman: Very cool selection of clothing and cozy atmosphere. Found two dress shirts for only $12.00 total. Will stop here more often when Im in the area again.

4 /5 jrspicci: Im a buyer and seller by profession of new and used items. I was passing through and decided to stop by. The place was pretty well organized with a good variety of items however I felt like the prices were on the high side for sure. In fact a lot of the cooler vintage items were priced at full-blown retail on the secondary market. When I think of a thrift store I think of getting something at a good deal. The whole point is to not pay full blown retail. While Im sitting here reading this post multiple people have stopped to drop off donations. This is listed as a nonprofit charity place so Im not sure why the prices need to be so high. I get trying to raise money but you still want people to buy stuff. Anyways. Theres my review. Take it for what you will.
