INTENTIONALLY BLANK - (Near Hudson, NY)

1 /5 Dr. K P: Snarky, rude and poor customer care. There is a sales woman with brown long hair and light eyes who was unapologetically rude and ruined her own sale. My husband was carefully replacing a few socks that my daughter (3yo) had disturbed from their place on display. The saleswoman started to wave her hand frustratedly in my daughter’s direction, while repeating “could she NOT! Could she NOT!” Lady, she’s 3! And it was being refolded and replaced. I hope the owner knows that I walked OUT. I was planning on spending several hundreds of dollars but, because of that poor attitude, why would I support a brand that hires staff like that?!? When my husband told the woman that this was unacceptable and he was replacing the items to their original place and folding them, she proceeded to tell him to “get a grip sir!” Staff training on customer care is lacking and should immediately be addressed!

1 /5 Y W: Walked in smiling, said hi as I normally would, and was met with a stare that felt like the quiet dissection of a museum piece. Such a long, blank stare, unnervingly detached. It wasn’t aloofness. it was the stillness of someone who’s forgotten how to meet another human being halfway. I smiled again awkwardly toward the counter, but the rudeness deepened, as if the simple everyday kindness were somehow an inconvenience. I left carrying the strange feeling that I’d borrowed an apology I never knew I owed. Such a masterclass in how to make a customer feel invisible and unwelcome.

5 /5 Jordan Bromberg: Not only are the items amazing, but so is the customer service. On a weekend trip to Hudson a year ago, I bought a hat from here, which subtly and tastefully featured hilarious text, as they all do. I loved it, and so did the many people who stopped me on the street to compliment it ever time I wore it. I was so bummed when lost it in a cab a few months ago, so I tried to buy a replacement through their website, only to find out they were no longer making the exact beanie. I called the store, just to be confirm there were none left. There were not, but the man I spoke with on the phone went on a mission to get me this hat. He said he’d check everywhere for one more, and if that didn’t work, he’d find out if they could have one made. A few hours later, he called back, and I expected to find out that I would never again wear my beautiful beanie. But no — he located ONE SINGLE REMAINING HAT in LA. He had that beanie overnighted to Hudson, texted me enthusiastic updates from his personal number along the way (complete with selfies), and then shipped it to me in the city. Now THAT’S some customer service! I obviously haven’t worn it since, because it is now way too valuable to me, but I look forward to wearing it again once I install some sort of tracking device. I know, so much drama over a beanie, but I love it. Fabulous place. Fabulous service. Fabulous people. Five stars.

5 /5 Rae Wilson: Im on my feet all day working long hours. You know who accommodates my need for the 3 Cs in a shoe (complements, cuteness and comfort)? Intentionally Blank. They are my new bff. And when I want to go out and not work...they also offer me an option for sass. They always have a shoe, garment, or accessory to match ANY VIBE (cute, sexy, wholesome, artsy, edgy, romantic), Intentionally Blank is there to catch me and make me feel like my best self. PS- I can never leave the store without a candle.
