4 /5 Jay: My first time at this particular dry cleaner since moving to Rockland. Was looking to drop off just one button down shirt and there were 2 customers ahead of me who paid upon taking their time inspecting their clothes, which is exactly how every dry cleaner I’ve ever been to functions. When I dropped off my shirt, the gentleman asked me to pay prior to picking it up. I’ve been going to dry cleaners for years and have never paid before picking up, nor do I believe you should until you inspect your clothes upon pickup. Regardless, I paid for it and politely asked him why did I have to pay prior to pick up when the 2 customers before me paid upon pick up? Gentleman said it’s because I was a new customer. Didn’t make sense at all. I’m leaving you my personal belonging so it’s not like I’m getting away with anything. Despite all of this, the gentleman and the lady doing the tailoring were polite and the shirt was in perfect condition when I picked it up. Will be coming back here in hopes of being able to pay after inspecting my clothes.
