1 /5 Ruby DeFina: Any chance of having a pleasant experience at this store was curtailed by the staff members unverified, and untrue, claim that she had a medical exemption to not wear a mask. Wearing a mask is about protecting the people around you from your own exposure, not the other way around. I would expect much more accountability and care for fellow community members (especially those walking into your store that are immunocompromised or have family/friends that are) from a neighborhood shop in Buffalo. Within the next 30 mins as I made my way down the street to other shops where everyone was masked, I overheard two separate conversations from customers who had just left Turnstyle Designs expressing their inability to stay in the store long enough to buy something due to not feeling like their safety was being prioritized. This is the opposite of community building, nor is it good business practice.
