5 /5 C Daquin: WOW! Stopped in on the way back from El Paso/Marfa visiting family & so glad we did. A LGBTQi+ friendly bookstore run and owned by women? I wish we had anything near as good in San Antonio. This bookstore is as good as any Ive been in (and were both pretty well traveled) you can tell there is true devotion to the craft of being a bookstore by whomever runs this. A lovely experience, we spent ages in here, and bought a ton of pre-Xmas presents. Its tempting - thats the word - and friendly - which is always so important. Theres some great sections, the second-hand books, free books, locals section, local history section, rare imprints, recommendations, poetry, feminism - it just goes on. I bought so many things having not seen them in bookstores as far flung as London, Provence, NYC. This is a real gem and if youre in Alpine or just passing through, be sure to pay them a visit, you wont be disappointed if you are a reader, a fan of books or just wanting to spend an hour looking at everything. Truly a credit to Alpine and the surrounding areas.

5 /5 Uyen Nguyen: Beautiful bookstore with a very good curation of books! We loved it so much we went back again :) Staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed help picking out something for our friend. They even have a little childrens corner (which is more like their own room) decorated with fairy lights and stuffed animals which was so adorable. They are even connected to a cafe which serves delicious coffee! Would totally recommend checking this place out!

5 /5 Lauren Tyler: Our family loves exploring local book shops when we travel. Front Street Books was one of our all time favorites! My husband and I each found books but our kids really loved the kids section and the staff was unbelievably kind. My son was looking for a specific book that they didnt have because it was being released that week. We had made the purchase for everyone else and moved on to the coffee shop attached. One of the women tracked us down in there to give him a preview book by the same author that they had literally just received. It absolutely made the whole trip for him! Our youngest son was on the fence about a book but we went back the morning we left for him to get it. This time, they tracked us down outside as we were about to get in our car to give him some trading cards that went along with the book! I cant recommend it enough! Go to Alpine and go check out Front Street Books!!

5 /5 Kristen Eads Covington: This place is a treasure! They have a great selection of books and gifts, a clean and well designed storefront, and lovely staff. They very kindly wrapped up a surprise for my daughter while we were shopping so she wouldnt see what I was buying for her. I love that they have such a nice kids room and a used book section as well.

5 /5 Rachel Hutson: This is such a cute shop! Its connected to Cedar coffee. The shopkeep was so kind, and we had a great time looking at all the books. They also had art supplies, cards, and stationery.
