1 /5 Lisa C: I visited the Frisco Texas location off of Preston Road this evening. The speaker announced to bring items to the register and this was at 11 PM central time. I went to the register with my items at 11:02 and an employee by the name of Rena told me that I was too late, bringing my items, though she just checked out a customer right in front of me. She said I would need to put my items on hold and pick them up the next day. I told her that they just announced for me to bring items to register. She ignored me and continued counting change. There were no other customers behind me. She would never look at me. She looked down as she was counting money. She had an attitude. She was extremely rude and made me feel unwanted. I asked her if she could get her manager to assist, and then she asked her coworker to assist me and the other employee opened up a register and checked me out. The entire time she stayed behind the register meddling with things. The manager arrived and I was very friendly to her and continuing to talk to the other girl which would not speak back to me. She was very awkward and grumpy as well. I thanked her repeatedly, however she did not respond.
I asked the manager why Rena refused to check me out and mentioned she said it was time for her to go home however she was still there. The manager just looked at me with a blank stare, and I said merry Christmas to her thanked both of them. I complimented the great music in the store while I was checking out, but no response from anyone. It was an awkward and embarrassing situation. Everyone gets stressed during the Holidays and I was trying to keep positive. That didn’t seem to matter. I could have been a very rude customer back, however I was taught to kill those type of people with kindness.
These people working at Kohl’s are so unprofessional and rude, and someone needs to get a handle on this group of people. I will never visit another Kohl’s ever again and I will be returning products tomorrow just because of the incident.
I asked Tena for her name before I knew it, but she wouldn’t look at me and ignored me. I found her name on her badge when it flipped around. She could hardly speak English and had blue jailhouse tattoos all over her body which looks very unprofessional. She was a scary and unpleasant person to come across. Kohl’s needs to do a better job at hiring individuals that value themselves and their job. I know plenty of professional and kind Americans that are looking for work. They would represent your company very well. Please clean house and start over. The issue starts at the top with leadership
Please see comments below that I found on the Internet regarding this particular store. It is obvious that this store needs a major overhaul. The comments on internet are exactly what I experienced. Unbelievable.
