Jan I’ve always loved the selection of shirts here, and my previous experiences were great—the employees were always friendly and welcoming. The stuff here is so beautiful, including the decor!!
My 3 star rating is due to the disappointing experience and customer service that happened today…I live in Austin and drove here right after work, arriving around 4:30pm since Google says they close at 6:00pm. I found a couple of shirts I liked and was browsing for more when, at 5:00pm the employee informed me she was closing early due to it being a slow day.
I was fine with that, but when I went to check out, I only had cash. The employee then told me she closed the register(for cash transactions). I explained I’d come back the next day, but unfortunately I don’t think that will be happening due to me living over 45 mins away. She did offer to hold them for me after I said i’d come back, but it’s the principle of disappointing customer service. On top of that, I wasn’t greeted or acknowledged when I first entered.
I’ve managed and owned a small business myself, I understand the need to close early when things are slow, but I would never turn away a paying customer who is still actively shopping, nor would I ignore them upon arrival. Updating business hours on google would be beneficial if you are going to close an hour early. I really loved shopping here, but unfortunately, I’ll be looking for a boutique closer to home from now on. :/
