3 /5 Gabby Martinez: I’ve always enjoyed shopping at TJ Maxx, but our recent experience left us disappointed—mainly due to how we were treated by a manager named Lacey. We found a pair of matching nightstands, but one had visible damage: the handles were scratched, and parts of the wood were chipped and broken. We politely asked if anything could be done about the price.
Lacey came over, asked what was going on, but then ignored our explanation. When we lifted the nightstand to show the damage, she abruptly said, “I don’t need to see all that,” in a rude and condescending tone, then turned her back and walked away.
Fortunately, Angie—our cashier—was amazing. She stayed kind, professional, and even apologized for the situation, despite it being out of her control. Her customer service stood out and helped end the visit on a more positive note
