I brought two full bags of designer and high-quality name-brand clothing to Uptown Cheapskate and only 3 items were accepted. I understand resale is selective and based on trends and inventory, but the volume and condition of what I brought made that surprising.
What really stood out, though, was the overall atmosphere. The staff seemed disengaged and uninterested, which made the experience feel dismissive rather than professional. When you’re bringing in pieces you’ve invested in, a little customer care goes a long way.
I’d recommend calling ahead to ask what they’re actively buying before making the trip. Unfortunately, this visit left me disappointed.
