3 /5 ella crowl: I usually LOVE this Grocery Outlet, So clean, organized, quiet, tons of options etc. but when we were doing our grocery shopping like usual this evening, and when we went to checkout, there was a gentleman in front of us who was almost finished, he had put the divider down on the belt before we even got in line so we started loading our groceries on, then the cashier (Kari) proceeded to look at us and say, “would you wait till he’s done with his order?” and then waited for us to pick up our couple of items we put down. We were a bit confused (The gentleman looked very confused as well and put the divider back) as this has never happened before here or any other grocery store, and we obviously weren’t trying to come off as rude or rushing etc. We always thought that the divider on the belt symbolized a “green flag” for the next person to load on there groceries. After that (still confused), we made sure to wait for her to let us know it was ok to put our groceries on then when we were done loading our small groceries, we put our turkey on the belt to get scanned and she said “turkeys stay in the cart.” with a tone as if everything she’s telling me is common sense. I’ve never experienced a trip here (really is my favorite grocery outlet) with so many steps/rules i needed to follow which i am COMPLETELY fine with doing so, especially when entering someone’s business, but i would way rather a sign or something with these rules/steps before being told them in a snarky tone like im supposed to know already. Thank you so much and i truly do enjoy every other experience i’ve had at this store/other employees.
