1 /5 Elizabeth H.: I’m just returning from trying to drop off some donations and now won’t ever be going back to shop there. I had multiple boxes of jewelry, clothes, books, air filters, art supplies, and cookware, many of which were brand new and still in their original packaging. The older gentleman who came over to my car looked at only the books and then largely just dismissed me. I completely understand if the books aren’t resealable at the store, then it’s not worth taking them. But he never even let me explain what was in the other boxes. He just *rushed* off to help the man behind me unload several garbage bags full of things. While I had been waiting for my turn in the drop off line, I watched the same gentleman and another man help the two men in line in front of me unload their trucks…which had numerous closed boxes that they didn’t even open as they hauled them away. Was my 2022 Forester not a nice enough car for you? Was my jacket too dingy? My hair too messy? Great experience, Island Thrift - you’ll never be getting my donations or my business again.
