3 /5 Anna: Three French Hens used to have so much potential, but our recent experience left us feeling disappointed. The store is extremely overstocked on soap and candles — mostly from the same brand — and the way the products are displayed feels overwhelming rather than curated. The overall bath and self-care selection was quite limited given the shops boutique vibe. It would have been nice to see more variety.
While browsing, we interacted with two sales associates. One of them was quite pushy and seemed more interested in forcing a sale than in having a genuine conversation, which made us uncomfortable enough to leave the items we were considering behind. She kept asking invasive questions, like "where do you live? Whats your address?" This is none of her business and apparently is a pattern of hers. It seems like she asks this to determine someones spending power, but its really creepy and inappropriate. When she didnt get the answers she wanted, she drops the conversation and then shoved something else in our faces and demanded that we try it on. (For identifying purposes: woman, long wavy black hair.)
On the other hand, two other associates we spoke to were polite, helpful, and listened to what we were looking for without being overbearing — a much better experience.
The store also has a section labeled for Eileen Fisher, but not everything on that shelf was actually from the brand, which felt misleading.
That said, the pricing is fair for the quality, and the products themselves seem well-made. Unfortunately, the stores crowded layout and the uncomfortable sales approach left us with a negative impression, and we walked out empty-handed.
