5 /5 Grant Marr: Had a great experience selling, with Emma as the buyer! I was nervous after seeing the negative reviews. I brought in 5 large bags of clothes (probably >100 items) and they bought 14 items, and offered $168 in trade-in, or $101 in cash. They bought a few of the old navy / gap pieces that were nicer and seasonal, but passed on most of them. They are very picky about t-shirts which I expected, especially in the winter. Some nice leggings were new with a $90 price tag on it, and they are reselling it for $34 and offering me $15. For me, that’s great! Just know what to expect, folks. They thoroughly looked through everything. Emma had already tagged the clothes before I accepted, but I didn’t get the feeling that it would have been a problem to decline some of the offers. She showed me the prices offered on the screen for each piece. And I got to walk around the Ave while she looked. 5 stars!

4 /5 Abi Hwang Nable: Crossroads is great for a clean & high quality ‘thrifting’ experience. It’s closer to a Berkeley garage sale imo- higher prices than a regular thrift store but fun & well kept clothing. They separate their items by style & type of clothing (active wear vs sweaters vs casual wear, etc) which really helps me focus on what I might be looking for! I also really appreciate the color coordination as well. Pricing is clearly marked & there are a good amount of half priced items as well. Some items, like the sunglasses ($16 each) are all the same price. They keep their pricier/designer items behind the counter and/or in the locked cases by the registers. I appreciate that the store is well kept & the clothes are maintained and sorted for a pleasant shopping experience. I will say that the two times I’ve gone, I’ve had a poor customer service experience. Both times, the cashiers didn’t notice us in line for awhile. Both times they were all either chatting with each other or on their phones. Once they even looked at us and didn’t ask why we were standing in the area marked as the line… I totally get that it’s a thrift store & lots of the employees are college students, but some professionalism would be appreciated.

1 /5 Miraslava Yefimava: I’m so upset. No drinks allowed is fine but me and my friend left ours on the designated drinks bench and we come back and they were spilled all over the floor. Drinks were wasted and they were from and expensive coffee shop. Worker who spilled didn’t even apologize. And the drinks were full

5 /5 Emily Hou: I had a great selling experience just now! I joined the queue through their online app which saved me time. Even during the middle of the day on a random Wednesday they had 5 people in line when I checked, so def take advantage of the app if you can. Then I showed up when it was my turn and handed over my bags to a nice woman working as a buyer. She explained to me the pricing models and then I browsed the store for a bit, tried on some clothes, and then my sell was ready. Ended up selling probably 10% of what I brought in and chose to cash out rather than turn it into store credit because I don’t need more clothes!! It’s amazing to make some extra cash for clothing I no longer wear and just takes up space in my closet anyway, there’s no way going through this experience before donating the rest is not worth it. Of course I set aside non-gently used clothing to go straight to donations. Even though I hand picked the items I took to Crossroads, they still didn’t take most of it, which I understand, not everything is of high resale value! Just curb your expectations, be nice to the workers there, and you’ll have a good time.

1 /5 Lauren H: Drove 30 minutes to this location just to have them tell me they are only accepting a current season right now of clothes, THEY SHOULD REALLY PUT THAT KIND OF STUFF ON THEIR WEBSITE, especially considering they offer a mail in option for your clothes. They should be VERY specific. I thought this was going to be like any other cash on spot store...most of them take ANY season, ANY day. This store was the exception.
