Beau Gillott My favorite shop in downtown. A cool mix of Western-style goods and vintage finds. The old school Atascadero High, Paso Robles High, and Templeton High gear on the walls made for great classic decor, and the FFA jackets from local chapters added to the mom-and-pop charm. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the store was full of gems. A must-visit if you’re into unique, nostalgic pieces.

Leigh Ann Loney I needed a last minute birthday gift and went to Bidwell Clothing Co. I had purchased some Christmas gifts here last year and they have such a fun selection of Chico clothing as well as artisan soaps, handmade jewelry etc. The shirt I wanted did not have the right size, so when I asked if they had any in the back I didn’t think I’d be able to get the gift there. Ron very kindly offered to screen print the shirt and have it ready for pickup within a few hours, complimentary gift wrap and all. You can’t get service like that at most places. What a gem!

Eric Neitzel Inside the Capitola Mall, this is the single reason I will actually shop at the mall. They have a sister store all the way towards the end of 41st, but I find it’s just as easy if not faster to stop here. It’s only five minutes off the freeway. They usually have an awesome selection of Santa Cruz branded authentic merchandise. It’s one of the few places that I can count on them having a good selection. The staff is helpful, and even called other stores to see if they had what I wanted.

Michael W. This Nordstrom Rack in Fremont is one of the good ones I like in the Bay Area. I love shopping at Nordstrom Rack. But not all the Nordstrom Rack stores are the same. This store has better inventory and a good layout. The store is nice and clean. I usually can find a few items to purchase and am happy to bring them home.
