3 /5 Amy Cassidy: I’ve spent over $1000 in the past three months (thousands over the past 25 years) at Express due to starting a new job with different dress requirements. I’ve been shopping at Express for 25 years plus and find specifically their pants fit me well. I’m 6 feet tall and because they offer long lengths, Express tends to be my go to place. Unfortunately, I had an issue returning a pair of pants that were tagged as “Long” but clearly were not. The store representative held them up next to other Long pants of the same style and agreed they were incorrectly tagged. The tags were intact and I had the receipt, but I had missed the return window by a couple of weeks. I didn’t know the return window was so short, or I would’ve returned them sooner. So, $100 down the drain and donated to Goodwill. I was very disappointed to have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars there in a short period of time and not be able to return one pair of pants that clearly was tagged incorrectly due too a very short return window. Furthermore, I was willing to exchange for other merchandise, but was told that was not possible. Because of the long lengths they offer for pants, I felt stuck and continued to spend more money there to complete my wardrobe. However, it has left a very bad taste in my mouth and prompted me to search for other options online. Luckily, I have found several online stores who offer long lengths, with the same or even better quality. I’m sorry to say, express, is losing a longtime customer because of a very strict return/exchange policy.
