Hacienda Motel - Shop CA (Near Alturas)

5 /5 Eric Call: Had to stop and stay due to a late start of my trip and was pleasantly surprised by the owner at the office (late on a Saturday night) and the cleanliness of the room. Im not very picky, and although this is an older motel my room was well taken care of, clean, comfortable, and with a recently remodeled bathroom. Made my stop very easy, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

4 /5 Dawn Johnson: QUIET, Clean — no amenities. If they only had coffee and pastry, that would have made a world of difference. You could make coffee in your room, but there is no 1/2 & 1/2 and who knows when those Mr. Coffees have been cleaned. OUTSTANDING was the quiet. I was in my room early. Except for one car, no other people had arrived. I was 100% expecting the arrivals with the engine noise, the doors opening and closing, the conversation . . . . It never happened and I thought, I guess no one’s coming. But then in the morning — the parking lot was full! And I heard NO ONE drive in! The rooms are sound insulated as is the door. This is important to me. I need a good night’s sleep. This is an old-time motel, the kind in the 70s you paid $10 to stay at. Good memories of those times. It was nice to stay here, except for the coffee.

5 /5 Micki Flatmo: Sweet little hotel. Not fancy but big rooms were very clean. We were greeted after hours - without a reservation - by a welcoming person at the desk who was kind and helpful. We will stay again if we have the occasion.

5 /5 Shay: Extremely clean, well lit and had all necessary things I needed for a 2 night stay to go hiking. Nice sized mini fridge with freezer. Place was spotless. Bed was comfy. Easy as can be and wouldnt hesitate to stay again! I felt safe and comfortable.
