Lived many years ago in Auburn and loved this store but moved Grass Valley so lost contact until today I rediscovered elegance, an incredible caring staff, Beth, Marina and great wrapping. I will send many of my friends from Nevada City and Grass Valley to your beautiful store with such caring professional folks. PS I spent so much money I had not planned on because of your people! 4 /5 Christie W: A very nice store with great selection. Prices are a bit high. Update #1: Bought a pair of slippers for my sons birthday and had them gift wrapped. (A very nice service) The cashier put the slippers into a bag which I carried directly to gift wrap. Beautifully wrapped but horrified when he opened them to find the plastic security tag still attached! Im disappointed that neither the cashier or the gift wrapper didnt look for & remove it. Its a 6 hr round trip for me to go and have this taken care of now. And then another 4 hour round trip to deliver the late gift back to my son. Time, gas, frustration: I feel I should be compensated in some way for this major inconvenience that couldve been avoided if staff were paying attention. Update #2: Went back to have tag removed and Manager Maria apologized & said theres nothing I can do for you. Luckily I was still in the store a few minutes later when she approached me to say her Manager allowed a $10 compensation for my trouble. Thank you for understanding. I shop here whenever Im in the area & have always had an enjoyable experience.

5 /5 Hannah Arose: I come to McCaulou’s as often as I can for kids gifts, our family’s shoes, housewarming presents, my own clothing and our kids clothing. It’s such a great store to have here in town. They offer free gift wrapping with a $20 purchase, and the staff is always so helpful. They have a nice selection of quality items and I tell everyone in Auburn to go there before they head down to Roseville. Highly recommend!!
