Rita Marquez We went to the OC Fair and saw a sign Old guys rule!!! Well we had to go in ...the guy selling the shirts was great !!! I forgot his name and lost his card but found the company on the web!!! Anyway my husband is kind of a Big Boy and he had shirts that fit!!! The time spent finding the shirt was so much fun thanks to the guys selling..thanks guys!!!

I walked into the Patagonia store in South Lake Tahoe and Ryan fixed it for me, in the store, in just a few minutes. The necessary parts and expertise were on site. On sale items and decor reminiscent of any fashionably young and smartly clever boutique in Santa Monica or Brooklyn. Friendly and helpful staff. Inventory highlights include unique prints and textiles, rare-find candles that smell of elegance, leather totes and cheeky merchandise that draws a good laugh. Well-worth a stop when in search of a fun gift for that special person back home.

JoAnn SkyWatcher I have been a fan of thrift stores since first started buying my own clothes. Something Ive learned is that its best to shop at thrift stores in communities that are more affluent than neighborhoods that have less money. This afternoon we stopped by San Rafael (an affluent area) to pick up some lunch. My partner pointed to a thrift store that was across the street from the restaurant, and said, "theres a good thrift store," (he had passed it by before, and noted that it probably had some really good stuff. That store was Hodgepodge, and he was correct. They have really nice items, that they sell for very reasonable prices. The volunteers there know how to create beautiful displays, too. I was looking for a pair of bell bottom pants, but couldnt find any--darn. I also had to promise myself that I wasnt going to buy anything besides bellbottoms (because my house is already FULL). I LOVE this thrift store!!! They offer really nice items (some very unique) for reasonable prices. The staff was both friendly and helpful. And the proceeds go to help with hospice care in Marin County.
