5 /5 Kris Barnard: My son at 5 years old expressed an interest in taking a class to learn basic clothing construction skills and without a doubt that has been fulfilled. Starting in hand sewing making felt animals, to learning how to use a sewing machine, selecting patterns, cutting, pinning, measuring, sewing buttons and snaps, and finishing several pieces of his own clothing. Not only has he learned skills that will help him throughout his life, his sewing has helped with improving his hand writing and practical math. The staff is nothing short of incredible. Both of my kids love them and talk about them between our weekly classes. They do an incredible job of meeting each child where they are and supporting them, while allowing space for growth of new skills. The Sonora School of Sewing and Apparel Construction is one of the brightest gems of Sonora.

5 /5 Genuine Hearts: My boyfriend and I took a beginner’s sewing class at this school with the instructor Tiffany and she was wonderful! She was so patient and helpful with all of the students. I would definitely take another class here and would recommend this school to people of all skill levels.

5 /5 Sanjani Ramkissoon: 5 stars to Sonora School of Sewing. I took their adult beginner/intermediate weekend intensive class and learned a lot. As a very beginner sewer I walked away feeling more confident about how to use my sewing machine and sewing garments. Tiffany was our instructor and she is amazing! Very patient, knowledgeable, and wonderful instructor. I highly recommend taking the sewing classes here. The building is so charming and calming. I drove from the Bay Area (1.5 hours each way) and I plan to take more of their classes. If you’ve been thinking about learning to sew or to elevate your sewing skills check out Sonora Sewing School. Bonus is their location. In the heart of downtown Sonora walking distance to lots of restaurants and coffee shops.

5 /5 Elizabeth Chesnut: My son had the opportunity to take a class here and expectations were exceeded. Hes very nervous with people he doesnt know but everyone was very kind to him and taught him very well. We had an injury (at home) the day of his second class, when I called them to say he couldnt make it they were very accommodating to reschedule for the next week. Watching them work with my child and the other children in class was wonderful. Im amazed at the kindness and patience of all the employees. Will absolutely recommend them to everyone.
